Meat sommelier, Satoru Tanaka

His grandfather was a cowherd and dealer, and his father ran a butcher shop. Satoru was born as a first child and has been trained in cutting meat since he was 10 years old. When he was 25, he opened a BBQ restaurant which was a dream from early childhood.

Not only original but also creative, his menu and store design become popular. His business expanded and he opened 18 restaurants in Tokyo, Nagoya, Gigu, and Shiga. In paticular, “Nikuya Setsugekka” is on the list of the 2019 Special Edition Michelin Guide Aichi ・ Gifu ・ Mie. Nikuya Setsugekka earned the “Taberogu Award” in both 2018 and 2019.
